After Action Reports

Highway cleanup-30 people split up into 2 groups. Thank you to Katherine Pierce for allowing us to have a bonfire at her house. The weather was great!

October Pack meeting- The Hutch fire dept brought out the ladder truck and all but 2 dens had a chance to go for a ride on the ladder. There will be a re-schedule next spring for those who didn’t get a chance to have a ride. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Church camp-out- Went well. A good mix of free time and good activities. Maybe next yr. maybe put a few skits together, sing a couple songs, to get them to wind down. Maybe think of something other than beagles to serve on Saturday, perhaps yogurt, or fruit. Clean up went fairly well. The movie was a good choice.

Round-table- Picked up by Joe. Some idea included:

Friends of scouting-in Feb. donations are due that month.

Parent/Leader Meeting Minutes July 13

The Parent/Leader Committee Meeting was held July 13 at 7pm at Christ the King church.

Call to Order & Pledge of Allegiance - Chris K

Aug 3rd is last parent meeting at 7pm; after that back to 6:30pm.

Treasurer's report was given by Lisa K. Parade expenses were $110, regatta boats $74.

After Action reports

Water carnival parade went smoothly. Had enough freezes with 3000. Next year try having adults hand them out by walking with wagons. Have them froze and separated ahead of time. Concern about pulling the trailer with the truck... kids could get between truck and wagon and driver might not see immediately; perhaps pull with a tractor.

Day camp went well. Had 1/2 hour activities. Kids were excited to be there, and there were new things the 2nd day to keep them interested.

Family camp at Stearns went well, but lack of people. No archery or swimming. Carts were great. Decision on where to have fall camp out to be made at Aug 3 meeting.

Karen O needs list of who participated in camps, parade, floats, etc. for months of June, July, August so summer awards can be given to those who participated all three months. For a July activity scouts could attend the 80th anniversary of pack 246 sunday July 27th at 2pm at Christ the King. Come in uniform. Could also attend a scout twins game, or Fun in the sun which runs until the end of July.

Baloo training Saturday, July 19. Scott planned to attend.

Webelos II camp. 7/20 - 7/24 at Stearns.

Webelos I camp. 7/25 - 7/27 at Stearns.

Round table/join scouting training taking place Aug 7th in Cokato.

Family picnic/Rain gutter regatta Aug 10. Den 6 in charge. Olsons have gutters and boats. Kids need glue guns to build them.

McLeod county fair Aug 13-17th. Bill Bull will call with info. (Joe later found out from Bill that Saturday would be a good day for us to run a rain gutter regatta if we are interested)

New Leader Essential training, Sept 4 in conjunction with Roundtable at Howard Lake Middle School.

Join scouting night Sept. 15 (tentative).

Next meeting Aug. 3
