The next pack meeting on Oct. 20 will be a halloween party. Please come dressed in costume, but do not bring props to carry (no swords, axes, etc).
Please also bring a bag of candy to share. The candy will be mixed and bagged and given to each child at the end.
We would like some parent volunteers to help with the activities that night. Some of the things we need help with:
- pumpkin bowl
- pumpkin push
- bean bag toss
- goop
- towel walk
- bagging candy
- other?
Please rsvp your willingness, and we'll assign you a task. Thanks!

Parade Update
Parade Starts at 1:00 PM Sunday June 21, 2009
We should meet at 11:30 AM at the Fair Grounds. This will give enough time to finalize the float and get everyone ready.
We will head over to the starting place by 12:00 to get into position for the parade. We are number 85 this year.

Water Carnival Parade
As the school year ends, another Water Carnival Parade is only a few weeks away. Pack 246 will once again have a float in the Parade. We hope to have as good of a turn out as we did last year. The plan is to meet as a group on Thursday, June 18th at 6:30 pm at the fair grounds and prepare the trailer for the parade. Please bring a few tools (screw drivers, staplers, etc…) to help with the set up. We are planning on having the same set up as last year (tent, fire, scouts), with two exceptions:
- The Freezes will be frozen
- We will use wagons to cart the boxes of freezes to hand to the scouts, instead of having the scouts running to the moving trailer get replenish there supply.
Below is a list of items that are needed for a successful parade entry:
- We are in need of 3 wagons to help with distributing the freezes.
- We need someone with a truck to drive the trailer through the parade route
- We need parental volunteers to pull the wagons, and make sure the kids are safe
Let me know if there are any questions or if you would like to volunteer for an item listed above.
Best Regards,
Scott Gandrud
