Pack Meeting - Nov. 16

The November pack meeting will be held on Nov. 16 at 6:30pm at Christ the King.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the food shelf.

Be prepared to sign up for "Scout Ski Day" on December 18th. Pack 246 will pay for the scout's lift ticket and helmet. Rentals and lift tickets for siblings/parents are at a discounted rate. See http://www.powderridge.com/images/stories/scout_form.pdf for details.

Pack Meeting Oct 19th

The next pack 246 meeting is Tuesday, October 19th at 6:30pm at Christ the King. Please bring a bag of candy to share.

The theme will be halloween games. (No costumes please)

Fall Highway Cleanup

Each fall and spring Pack 246 cleans a section of Highway 15 just north of Hutchinson. This is community service and often helps fulfill requirements in the boy's books.

The next cleanup is Saturday, October 16. Meet at Christ the King parking lot at 9am. Cleanup is expected to take about 1 1/2 hours. After we are done, we'll likely meet at McDonald's for an treat.

First Pack Meeting Tuesday

The first pack meeting will be held Tueday, Sept. 21 at 6:30pm at Christ the King.

If you haven't registered and would like to, you can register at the this meeting.

Join Scouting Night is Sept. 13

Join Scouting Night is Monday, Sept. 13 at 7pm at West Elementary School in Hutchinson.

If you have any interest in joining a Cub Scout Pack, please come to the meeting. We register scouts in 1st grade through 5th grade.

If you already have a scout in your family, please invite someone to come and learn more about Cub Scouts!

August 15 Leader Meeting

The Pack 246 Leaders meeting will be held on Sunday, August 15 at 7pm at Christ the King. (Rescheduled from Aug. 8)

It is very important that all dens are represented as this is the yearly planning meeting.

Please plan to attend.

Parade

Meet at the Ortloff's house at 11:30 tomorrow (Sunday) to participate in the parade. Wear Uniforms.

Ortloff's house is on the Rocket Hill road directly north of Taco John's. (About 2 blocks west of rocket hill)

Our float is #76.

Water Carnival Preparation

Pack 246 is planning to participate in the Water Carnival Parade.

We will be decorating the float at 4pm on Sunday, June 6 at the Ortloff's home at 135 5th Ave NW (A couple blocks west of Rocket Hill and north of Taco Johns). Bring a staple gun and hammer. After the float decorating, pizza supper is on the pack.

Scouting For Food

Scouting for Food is this week. We are looking for scout and parent volunteers.

Thursday (4/22) at 6pm. Meet at Christ the King.

Saturday (4/24) at 9am. Meet at Christ the King.

On Thursday we will be putting door hangers on houses. These hangers explain that people should leave food on doorsteps on Saturday morning. On Saturday, we'll be picking up the food.

Blue & Gold

The Blue and Gold will be held on Feb. 19 at 5:30pm. It begins with a potluck dinner, continues with the graduation ceremony of the Webelos 2 boys into Boy Scouts, and finishes with an interesting storytelling time by a professional storyteller. The evening ends around 8pm.

All Pack 246 families are invited and encouraged to attend. Look for formal invites from leaders soon.
